SJSU Women’s Swim Team WAC Champions

For those that say it cant work, some advice…

What you might be experiencing is something called cognitive dissonance or “true-believer” syndrome, both of which are natural psychological phenomena. Reason should prevail with time, but for now it’s important enough to recognize that your judgment might be affected.

Boom! I had the pleasure of seeing these girls compete twice this year, and speak with them a few days prior to leaving for the WAC Conference Championships. Head Coach Sage Hopkins has totally changed the way this Team trains, and is a believer in what we do. Nonetheless, he has created something with his team of coaches, and these girls. With 14 school records, 2 pool records, 2 WAC champ records, 1 overall WAC record and Coach Sage Hopkins being named WAC Coach of the Year, this team kicked ass, and brought home a title.

A Big Congrats to all!!!

Coaches,

Sage Hopkins, Pete Raykovich, Jaclyn Rosen, Julie Wynn, Mark Butcher
